How to: Select and copy or move multiple files and folders.
Solution:
Press and hold CTRL or SHIFT while selecting the file(s) and folder(s).
1) Open Windows Explorer.
2) In the left pane, double-click the folder(s) containing the files you want to copy or move.
3) Do one of the following to select the files you want to copy or move:
a) To select multiple adjacent files and/or folders, press and hold down SHIFT and select the files and/or folders.
b) To select multiple non-adjacent files and/or folders, press and hold down CTRL and select the files and/or folders.
c) To select all files in the open folder, select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Select All'.
4) Copy or move the files:
a) To copy the files to a new location, select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Copy'.
b) To move the files to a new location, select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Cut'.
5) In the left pane, select the new folder.
6) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste'.
